I have always used Prinston Free County range since I have been here in the 1980s on. It has changes since then and used more but I am not a fan of punching paper in a indoor range. Davenport Gun range and store to me is a farce and over priced. Taking a gun into Illinoise is a farce.

PEACE

We've been to Davenport Guns. Never going back, I was looking at some ammo and some accessories and never got so much as a "Hi" or "May I help you"

Oak Hills Gun Club. Great range and only $65 a year and includes the entire family.  It is located between Davenport and Buffalo.

Their range is pretty nice, it's kind of small, like 6 or 7 stalls maybe, it could use a little bit more lighting but otherwise overall it's a nice indoor range for the cold winter months.

I went to Davenport Guns this past weekend and used their range and it was nice but yes it was a bit small could use a little more room behind each stall to set your gear.

Milan Rifle Club. Hands down the best range I've ever been to. Membership is a bit pricey I guess compared to $65, think it's $150 or $175 yearly but I've never had to wait. Indoor ranges are 25 and 50 yard pistol with 12 bays each. Also have 25 yard outdoor with like 20 bays, covered. Not to mention the 100, 200, 300 and 600 yard rifle ranges .

Doesn't matter where you shoot as long as your shooting and sharpening your skills. I personally like Oak Hills GC. It's cheap and very clean. The people I have met there have been very nice and helpful. I also like Davenport guns. I've been in there twice. The first time it was very busy so they didn't greet me at the door or anything, completely understandable. The second time they did ask if they could help me and I got a great deal on my Ruger LCP. I liked their indoor range except for the target boards were cardboard and the clips used to hold them were flimsy at best. But over all a pretty good experience.

LOL...lots of people out there that just got their CCWs 5 years ago. I have had mine since 1972 when I turned 21.  Love all the new expert opinions. Davenport Gun's service is very lacking however good for someone who is clueless on firearms and a lot of money to spend. The Princeton County Range is FREE and always has been.
